Automatic Password Reset for Employee Self-Service (ESS)

 

The password hint is designed to be used before you are locked out of the system. Once you have tried up to five times, the system will lock your account and it must be unlocked by one of our eWake system administrators.

 Log into Advantage Employee Self-Service.

Advantage Employee Self-Service can be accessed from the Wake Employees website at http://we.wakegov.com.

Click on the "Electronic TimeSheets" button.

 

 

 Click on the "Employee Self-Service" link or the large blue button for Employee Self-Service.

 

Enter your "User Name" and "Password."


 

Click on "Change My Password Hint."

 


Select a "Password Hint" question from the dropdown arrow.

 

Enter your current password and answer to the "Password Hint" question selected, then confirm answer by re-entering it. 

The answer is not case-sensitive.  It can be entered in all lower, upper or mixed case. 


Click Change Password Hint
 

 


The following message will be received.


 

Log out or continue to process timesheet as needed.

 


If you return to Advantage Employee Self-Service later and cannot remember your password, click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link.

Enter your "User Name" and click the “Continue to reset password” button.


Note:  This training material was developed using a test region.

 

The "Password Hint" question selected previously is displayed. 

Enter the answer. The answer is not case-sensitive and can be entered in all lowercase, uppercase or mixed case no matter how it was originally entered.

Click the "Reset Password" button.

 

 

The following message will be displayed and an email sent to your Lotus Notes account with a temporary password.

 

Click "Exit" in the top right corner.





  

Log into Lotus Notes.  The following email will be displayed from the Advantage system.

 

You have two options for entering the temporary password into Employee Self-Service. You can copy and paste the temporary password or you can manually type in the temporary password. Select one of the options below for instructions:

Option 1: Copying and pasting the temporary password.

Option 2: Manually typing in the temporary password.

 

 


Option 1: Copying and Pasting the Temporary Password

To copy the password from the system generated email, highlight just the password by placing the cursor at the first of the password and while holding the left mouse button down, drag the cursor across the password. 


 

Then, while the password is highlighted, using your keyboard, press and hold the "Ctrl" key plus the letter "C" key.

 

Navigate to the Advantage Employee Self-Service Logon screen



After entering your "User Name", place the cursor in the "Password field" and using your keyboard,
press and hold the "Ctrl" key plus the letter "V" key.


Once on the "Change Password" screen, your User Name will already be entered. Verify that the cursor is in the "Old Password field" and using your keyboard again, press and hold the "Ctrl" key plus the letter "V" key.

Then enter your "New Password" and then enter the new password again in the "Confirm New Password" field. Password requirements are displayed to the right of the Password reset fields.

Click "Login."





 

The Advantage Employee Self-Service home screen will now be displayed.

 



 


 

 


Option 2: Manually Typing the Temporary Password

If typing in the temporary password, enter the temporary password in the "Password" field and click the "Login" button. 

 

 


The "Change Password" screen is displayed.  Your "User Name" will already be entered.  Enter the temporary password received in the email again in the "Old Password" field. Then enter your "New Password" and then enter the new password again in the "Confirm New Password" field. Password requirements are displayed to the right of the Password reset fields. 

Click "Login."

 

The Advantage Employee Self-Service home screen is displayed.
